The German Empire ended and had to cede land to neighboring countries. Austria-Hungary was split into 2 independent nations; Austria-Hungary and Czechoslovakia, and Serbia set up a Slavic State in Balkan and named it Yugoslavia. After the revolution during the WWI, Russian Empire ended and many small independent nations were set at the the western Baltic area. [30]
